PROCEDURE

Teaching kids math tricks really boosts them to feel impossible is after all possible.

For example, learning multiplication with fingers 6,7,8,9, and 10. The little finger is 6; the ring finger is 7; the center finger is 8; the pointer finger is 9 and the thumb is 10.

Now when you want to multiply 8*7, let's select the little finger; ring finger and center finger on the right hand and join it with the little finger and ring finger on your left. Now that makes 5 fingers so 5*10=50. Then the rest of the fingers, 3 in the left and 2 in the right, is 3*2=6. So 50+6=56.
