comparison is resistance

volume 7

Comparing is resisting, when we compare we fall into fear -'poor me', or greed 'I am right'. Comparing is a huge traffic jam happening in our thought process it does not let us be spontaneous.

We are part of whole intelligence even though we are unique in our own expression and experience. So with this right understanding we can apply it to our situations.

For the situation, we face we have two options: We can place our ego in wrong place and complicate ourselves. If we understand the situation and accept the solution we can change our belief-to-be life. If we accept the situation positively we get the solution. Complaining is to resist. We resist every moment, that's why we cannot sit with ourselves.

We look at situations like a view, when we change the perception, the dimension of the view changes; like in a kaleidoscope when we change the angle we get various new images. Like in the optical illusion we need to understand the hidden knowledge (or) message in every issue; we can shift to the new world of understanding that others are uniquely a part of us. The mind can grow like a wild fire only in comparison, but during comparison we only grow to the extent of whom or what we compare.

The mind can grow like a wild fire only in comparison, but during comparison we only grow to the extent of whom or what we compare. Mind fails to exist without comparison. If the bottleneck is cleared with the understanding of uniqueness, 100% of energy and experience can enrich you. Because of perception of reality we cannot see something which we did not know before.

We are all already, always listening to the inner chatter in the mind that's why we are not able to listen to others.

We look at each other only through our right eye because we use only our right brain. If we start looking using our left eye to see other people, we will not judge that person; we will be very nice to them. We use our right brain when we see through our left eye. We will be heart-oriented, we will not complain about the other person.

To make the children understand that comparing is resisting and to cause them to move towards unclutching and flowing with life.

  • What is comparing?
  • What happens when we compare?
  • Relate comparison with traffic jams.
  • What is oneness?
  • What is the best way to tackle the situation?
  • How we can change our belief?
  • Jealousy is a misunderstanding of what?

When we accept who we are, we can accept others as they are. We will stop proving ourselves to others and just be who we are

MATERIALS NEEDED

  • Paper
  • Sketch (or) Pencil
  • Mirror picture or object.

:

PROCEDURE

Keep a picture or object in front of the mirror and ask each child to see the image in the mirror and draw the picture on the paper with pencil or sketch

INFERENCE:

When we keep on comparing ourselves with others we can never be fulfilled, we can never enjoy the beauty of existence.

GOAL

To make the children understand the topic of comparing

PREPARATION

Introduce the children to the game and then encourage the children to play the game with lots of focus

PREPARATION:

Ask each child to stand in pairs, each one facing each other. Ask one child to do some actions, perhaps move some body parts; ask the other child in that pair to follow the same-mirror the other person's activity. We can ask each child to take turns and play this game.

INTERPRETATION

Connect the activity to the concept of comparing. How we see others, compare ourselves with others and how continuously we judge others and try to prove ourselves with others and get confused.
