Introduction: Introduction to the topic of desire

Goals: Make the children understand about desires

Click: Desire is the major driving force.

About the topic: One of the major driving forces in human life is desire. Most of the time we are driven by either desire or fear. – our likes and dislikes comes from desire. We need to drop our feelings of 'I' and 'mine', because that is where ego comes in. to comprehend the meaning of true love, we need to drop the feeling that we possess. We have many desires and often we feel we don't have energy to fulfill them.

When you are honest and integrated with the desire, there is no conflict and the conversion happens properly. When we are with ourself we can receive more positive energy. We have so many likes and dislikes. Mind acts as boss and judges us with likes and dislikes. When we follow heart language (awareness, love and compassion) we can come out of our mind-ego.

Activity of the day: Plastic needles and thread

Art of the Day: Chakra drawing

Evaluation:

Question (open ended) and discussion: How can we tell the difference between needs and wants? Do we 'need' chocolate? Or want it? Do we 'need' clothes (yes, it's a need). Talk about how we need and want things, but only true desires make us happy.

Conclusion: Instead of chasing objects and things that we 'want' trying to make ourselves happy. We need to focus on the things that matter, the true desires – our needs, and go beyond.
