Mystery of All Mysteries

|| śrī mahādeva uvāca || na vaktavyamidaṁ devī rahasyāti-rahasyakaṁ | na kasyāpi purā proktam tvadbhaktyartham vadāmi tat || 17 ||

17. Bhagavān Śrī Mahādeva said: O Devī, this (gurumahātmyam, glory of Guru) is the greatest mystery of all mysteries. This is not to be revealed to any one. I have never revealed this to any one before. But I shall tell you because of your great devotion to Me.

(puraa- before, anciently; rahasyāti-rahasyakam-there are some secrets which may be ordinarily revealed to select persons but there are certains secrets which can be revealed only to the dearest person. One such secret is this—that Mahādeva is going to reveal to Pārvatī. The Guru awaits the qualified disciple to reveal these secrets. PARVATI IS THE FIRST DISCIPLE OF MAHĀDEVA.)

Guru Gītā is a great book. Mahādeva speaks to Pārvatī about Him. He speaks to Her about Him! Nithyānandeśvara speaks to Nithyānandeśvari about Guru. The Guru Gītā is directly spoken by Mahādeva to Mahādevī, Pārvatī about Guru.

Devī is the first disciple of Mahādeva. Devī Pārvati, Adi Śakti is the first disciple; because Devī had initiation first.
