Have responsibility, not attachment

Friday April 20, 2012

Your duty to your parents is to give them emotional and moral support when they need it. I want to make it very clear that you are not bound by your parents to live your life the way they want. It is not your duty or responsibility.

Many times, you mistake your attachment and weakness as a duty and responsibility.

No! If you are completely bound by your parent's way of living and it becomes a duty, there is then no possibility for growing. Then nobody is going to have the courage to break through and upgrade themselves. That is not your duty, not your responsibility. Responsibility to your parents is giving them moral support.

Very beautifully one of my brahmacharinis said, 'The best thing I can do for them is to bring them to you. After this, it is between you and them!'

I tell you, your highest responsibility to your parents is helping them to become enlightened.

Your responsibility to your teachers is keeping the knowledge they gave you alive and making it grow and flourish. Your responsibility to your priests is using the knowledge they gave you to achieve the ultimate. Your responsibility to the Master is becoming enlightened. Nothing else. Your highest responsibility is giving your emotional and moral support to your parents, growing the knowledge given to you by your teachers, using the knowledge given by your priests to achieve the highest consciousness, and finally achieving the highest consciousness with help of the Master. Nothing more, nothing less, nothing else! Be very clear, you are not bound by anything else.

Real peace is explosion of mind

March 1, 2011

I tell you, real peace is when the mind which asks for peace explodes into pieces! That is when the real peace happens.

What you think of as peace is the tamasic tiredness, chronic fatigue. That is why, whenever life comes in front of you, you just jump into some cave. You always wanted to have a cozy cave. But understand, even your cave is inside my Himalayas! Even if you catch a cave, I am the walls of that cave!

A real Master will go on pushing you. The right Master will go on pushing you continuously to move forward, and he will never give you the feeling that you are done. He will not encourage your fatigue, your tiredness. He will never run a resort. He will only run a commune. Maybe after his death, his disciples will change the name into a resort. He himself will never run a resort!

The person who asks for the peace of the resort out of fatigue and tiredness will never be allowed in the presence of a living Master. It is the mind which asks, once in a while, I think I need to rest. I think I need a break. Yes, it needs a break! The mind which asks for the break needs to be broken; that is the break it needs!

A real Master will never show you the kind of sympathy that the world shows you. Your mind learns very early in life that if you impose suffering on yourself, the world will give you sympathy. It is one of the biggest collective delusions human beings suffer with. That is why, when kids don't want to go to school on Monday morning, they pull the blanket over their head and say, I have a stomach pain, I have a headache. And this stomach pain and headache cannot be diagnosed by any doctor!

A real Master will never let you rest in what you call as peace. What you call as peace is just based in more tamas, dullness, and depression. For samadhi to happen, the mind which keeps asking for a vacation, for rest and peace, has to be blown away. It should explode to pieces. Only then peace happens.

Ask for the right thing

March 6, 2011

Listen: I am revealing the deeper truths about manifesting what you want from an enlightened Master.

When you go to an enlightened Master and ask for what you want, even if he does not give you what you want, he will give what he really wants you to have, and what is best for you.

Sometimes, people come and ask me for certain things. It may not happen as they asked, but suddenly something in them changes, and they are ready to receive what I want to give. They are new beings.

They come back and tell me, 'What I asked for did not happen, but that is ok. You are there for me. I want only you and the enlightenment which you want to give.'

I feel, Wow! Once more, the truth is expressing.

Because whenever people come and ask me something, I sincerely want them to have that. I do feel inside my inner space, let them have what they want.

But a corner of my being always makes a sankalpa: let only the best happen.

See, when I push any sankalpa into my being, I do it sincerely. When I bless them, I don't have my own plan. But ultimately, there is a filtering system, the conscious system, which dilutes that sankalpa. It changes not only my sankalpa, it changes that person's sankalpa also!

I basically don't have any sankalpa. When somebody asks for something, I send that whole file directly to the Consciousness and say, please attend to it. I tell you, that conscious system straightaway helps the person who is asking.

Usually, the Consciousness grants what they are asking for. But if it is not good for that person, it at least immediately grants whatever is right for that person. The person evolves. I have seen this happen hundreds of times.

Listen: getting the wrong thing is the worst punishment!

So always ask only from God, or from an enlightened being. Even if you don't get what you asked for, you will always get the right thing; you will always get what is best for you.

You are made of memories

March 20, 2011

You have layers and layers of muscle-memory.

Understand this one truth.

You are made out of layers and layers of engrams. It is as if twenty-five saris (lengths of cloth) are put on top of one another and pressed tightly. You are made of that material.

Each sari layer is one layer of your engrams.

For example, at the age of three, all your desires, fear, greed, anger, pain, pleasure, and everything is dependent on your mother's physical nearness. If it is there, it is joy for you. If it is not there for you, it is pain. If there is an insecurity that it may not be there, it is fear for you.

At the age of seven, all your fear, greed, anger, and pleasure revolves around toys. At age ten, your fear, greed, anger, and pleasure all revolves around the need of friends: the living toys. If you have more friends, you will have joy. If you think you are losing friends, you will have fear.

At the age of 14, everything revolves around not just a friend. You evolve to a deeper relationship: a companion. Maybe not just the other gender, but your gender as well, with whom you can share your life. Now all your fear, greed, and pain revolves around a companion.

Then after some more time, it revolves around the need for a lover, a beloved. Like this, each layer of your bio-memory is compressed and your body is made out.

If you notice, the fears you had around your mother, your toys, your friend, your partner and your soulmate will be following the same trend. When your mother's physical presence was taken away from you at age of three, how chaotic and insecure your breathing was, it will be exactly the same or a little deeper when your beloved goes away from you. It is the same emotion happening, but in different layers.

Layer by layer, on this same trend, every sari cloth gets colored. The first cloth gets colored by mother's physical presence. The second cloth gets colored by the toys you possess. The third cloth layer gets colored by the friends you possess. The fourth cloth gets colored by the partner you possess. The fifth layer may get colored by wealth.

You are nothing but a toy layered in different colored cloths! That's it.

I tell you the trend is the seven chakras: greed, fear, worry, attention-need, comparison and jealousy, assertive-ego, and unfulfilled feeling.

Awakening the kundalini will completely liberate you from all these layers and layers of muscle memory responsible for physical and mental disorders.

Kundalini will completely wash you. Why do you think people jump when their kundalini is awakened? Because I am putting them in a washing machine! I am a huge laundry. My presence is the washing machine, my words are the detergent, the joy which the kundalini awakening creates in the body is the water, and the meditation technique is the power supply! After you are washed and dried, I just iron you, put on the label 'Enlightened' and send you out into the world!

Alter your state of consciousness

I will express a few words on altering the state of consciousness.

Ultimately, if you let go of whatever is happening, you don't need to alter it! You will naturally be in pure consciousness, the highest consciousness. But because you constantly move out of the highest possibility and put yourself into the lower levels of ordinary consciousness, I need to help you to raise yourself back again and again to the highest state of consciousness.

Altering the state of consciousness means altering your physical, mental, social and spiritual understandings. It means carrying the right eternal understandings about the world, God, society, nature, and yourself.

When you have the right understanding about all these four components of your life – jeeva (your individual self), jagat (humanity and the world) and Ishwara (God)you will know the real source of any problem you face, and you will know in which line you need to work to come out of the problem without suffering.

Many times in your life, not being able to find the real problem is the real problem! Have the right understanding about these four different components: the self, the world, humanity, and God.

Even your simple problem of having a low mood for no reason is because you don't have the right understanding about the self. But unfortunately, you are not able to understand that the problem is internal, and you start connecting it to all kinds of reasons from the external world. You confuse it, mess it up, and get trapped in bigger and deeper problems.

I am telling you, when you have a low mood for no reason, understand that it is happening do to an inner quality, not due to an outer reason. Do not associate any external reason with that low mood. All you need to do is go through that low mood with a mood of acceptance, so that it becomes peace and silence in you. Know how to play with different states of consciousness and awareness you experience, and learn to live with different modes and operations happening within you. Know the truth, so that you handle every situation properly with the right understanding. Altering the state of consciousness helps you to find the right problem and the right solution.

For example, if you are facing an external attack, don't blame yourself and say, 'Oh, I have this kind of a mental set-up and body, that is why I have this problem.' No! The moment you start blaming your body and mind, you

are already divided. When you are facing an external attack, be integrated inside. That is not the time to judge yourself and suffer from guilt, depression or a low mood. Finish the outside problem first, then you can sit and analyze it and improve yourself, so that you don't get into the same problem again. For example, if you have a disease, because of your mental set up you start criticizing yourself for having the disease. No! That is not going to work. Fight with the disease and see that you don't create that once more. Alter the mental state just for that. No time to judge or suffer with guilt. Standing together, being internally integrated during the external crisis, will happen to you only when you have the right internal understanding.

Altering the states of consciousness will make you understand the right problem and will give you clarity to find the right solution. That is the main purpose of altering the state of consciousness so that you understand the spiritual problems spiritually, the social problems socially, the economic problems economically, and the physical problems physically.

Seeing the Divine

What is the meaning of 'Divine'? Let me define that word 'Divine'. Whenever you don't divide, and you perceive the Whole with the whole picture, you perceive the Divine. Where your mind and logic patterns completely leave you, that space is divine.

For example, if you realize the Divine in a stone, all your patterns

will be dropped in front of that stone, and you will just experience something beyond your mind's comprehension, beyond your perception. That is when the stone becomes transformed into a deity for you.

If you are still holding on to your patterns, you are not realizing the Divine.

Many times when I bless somebody, the other person will be so joyful, as if that person himself is hugged. Whenever you feel you are being blesses when I bless somebody else, you are seeing Divine. Whenever you feel, 'Oh, that person is being blessed, but not me', then you divide.

If you are suffering with dividing, I have only one thing to say to you: SUFFER! Die of that suffering. Be tortured by that suffering. That is the only way you will come out of it.

When I sit and listen to somebody, you should feel assured that I am going to listen to you also. It should be inspiring you. When I bless somebody, when I shower something on somebody, you should feel, WOW! - as if it is done to you. Then you are divine. Then you are seeing the Divine in me.

Hidden dangers of globalization

We need to understand the hidden dangers of our so-called modernization and globalization.

The traditional nature-based cultures understand that nature is a living intelligence. They are interested in co-existing with nature, not abusing it and exploiting it. The Vedic tradition grew with the Ganga River, the Himalayas and nature in a beautiful co-existence.

I recently saw a YouTube clip of a shaman levitating so casually. Shamanism is a spiritual tradition from South Africa. Very casually, he is just chanting a mantra and levitating four feet above the ground, and after a few minutes, he is relaxing and coming down.

Please understand, this was not seen as a miracle in our Vedic tradition. It was a lifestyle. You don't need to gather around an enlightened Master and receive all kinds of initiations and take a course to learn how to levitate It was a lifestyle for many ethnic tribes and spiritual groups. But so many centuries of ancient wisdom has been lost, so much natural intelligence has been destroyed in the name of modernization and globalization!

You will be surprised to know that just a handful of people own around 60% of the wealth of planet Earth! Just four communities, four groups! It means that the whole world is just serving these four groups! An enormously disproportionate amount of wealth has been accumulated and centered under a few people.

Whoever has a body, has a right over whatever exists on the planet Earth - because planet Earth provides everything for all the people. All the human bodies have a right over whatever exists. Just a few people depriving other bodies of their rights is the root and source of violence.

All the major problems planet Earth is facing now is because we have forgotten the art of co-existence. All our wars, ideological conflicts, and economically depriving certain sections of society, happen because we are missing the truth of Advaita, Oneness.

Understand, there are tribes whose lifestyles, art, tradition, and extraordinary powers have been dismantled and destroyed so badly. The whole science of living with nature, the whole science of handling the extraordinary powers, has left planet Earth.

Practice right listening

Having the courage to respond spontaneously to all situations and patience to listen, is what I call practicing right listening.

For practicing right listening, you need to have courage. You need to have patience.

You need to have the courage that you can respond spontaneously, and you need to have deep patience, and a passive attitude.

We are habituated constantly to be aggressive, being prepared with all answers.

The human mind is made of a stuff which is called preparing a solution and answers for the problems and questions which do not exist!

If you just remove that part from the human mind, you will become enlightened now. Nothing else is required.

Remove the part of your mind which goes on creating answers and solutions for the problems which does not exist.

If you remove that part, you will no longer have a mind. You will have pure intelligence.

Watch yourself when someone is talking to you. You are not listening. You are preparing your answer for them!

Even before they start talking, you start preparing your answer.

That is why your answer never matches their question!

Because you have not even heard the question, but you have prepared the answer; you are ready with your answer.

At most, if you are a little intelligent, you do a little stitching and tailoring to match your answer to their question.

The art and science of right listening is - not being prepared. Don't be a solution breeding company! Just listen.

Just listen.

When you listen without being prepared to hear something, you will hear what people are actually saying. You will know what people mean when they talk. Because people don't say what they mean, they don't mean what they say.

As long as you think they mean what they say or say what they mean, you are in a mess. You have not learned the art of listening.

Communication can happen only if at least one side is ready to listen.

If both sides are just preparing the arguments and answers, neither will understand where the other person is coming from.

Usually, when two minds talk, neither the person who is speaking means what he says, nor the person who is listening listens to what he says!

So let the confusion be absent at least on your side.

Then you will see all the responses from your side will be a solution.

Whatever is getting created from the other side, you will be able to just see it and solve it.
