What is Ananda Darshan?

Ananda Darshan (blissful darshan) is the moment when you are closest to connecting with the Existential energy.

Just being in the energy field of an enlightened being is darshan. The physical body of a Master is designed to hold and continuously radiate the cosmic energy. Just by being in that environment, you can absorb this conscious energy.

When the Master touches and initiates you, he takes the responsibility of transmitting that experience to you. There is nothing whatsoever to be done by you – just be open to the touch, that is enough.

Initiation by touch is done through the ajna chakra, the brow energy center. The Master touches you on your ajna chakra, pushing you deep into yourself, and transmitting the energy and the experience of enlightenment to you.

Many people experience loss of body consciousness, ecstatic visions, dizziness or a sense of disorientation during or after darshan. Sometimes, sudden tears, laughter or trembling in the body happen. All these are normal. They happen because the body cannot hold the sudden surge in energy, or the mind cannot cope with the sudden shift in consciousness. All this will settle down.

So whether you are feeling blissed-out or crying is not important. Both feelings will pass.

The important thing during and after darshan is to stay with the experience, to just hold onto the experience.

What you have received is the ultimate gift – an experience of enlightenment.

To continuously stay with, express and radiate this experience in your life is up to you!
