Mantra for Sagittarius

Aum hr¤¼ Nity¢nand¢ya namaª (Om Hreem Nithyanandaya Namaha)

In this mantra, Aum is the primordial sound and is the representation of ¹iva's energy, the male aspect of the universe. Actually, Aum is the cosmic sound that pervades the grahas, their movements and their effects on us.

The B¤ja mantra (seed sound), Hr¤m, has no linguistic meaning but encloses a powerful vibration which attunes you to the primordial energy from which the grahas originate: the female energy, ¹akti.

Nithyananda means Eternal Bliss and invokes the truth which is our true nature, and the nature of our own intelligence. It is the p¦r´a m¦la mantra (the complete mantra) because it represents a straight path to both ¹akti (success in this world) and to ¹iva (success in the cosmic world) which is 'enlightenment'.

Namaªa means 'I surrender' my ego to Existence, to the Master. Thus this sacred mantra awakens the completeness and fulfillment inside us and balances the male and female energies which exist inside every one of us.

The repetition of this mantra is a powerful technique which can be performed throughout the day as you go about your daily routine. It can also be uttered aloud 108 times every morning. The number 108, which is a multiple of 9, has been sacred since time immemorial. That is because the number 9 is the limit of all numbers: 0 to 9 is all one needs to make up an infinite amount of numbers. Therefore, 108 symbolizes and connects you to infinity.

Its beautiful sound should be pronounced clearly and as loudly as possible and from the navel region.

Eventually, this mantra will replace your inner chatter and create silence in your mind. Your whole being integrates itself towards enlightenment which leads you out of the dynamic of karma and planetary effects.

Five Techniques for a Sagittarius Mind

Be aware!

If there is no bliss in your life, it means you are fast asleep. Don't make any direct effort to become blissful; nobody can succeed in that because bliss is a by-product. You cannot achieve bliss directly. You have to go via awareness. If you feel you are miserable, that simply shows one thing: it is an indication that you are unaware. So become more aware, become more meditative. As meditation deepens, misery disperses and the same energy that becomes misery becomes bliss. All that is needed is the process of awareness; it transforms energy by its nature itself.

Dive into faith

Time is up to break some of your limitations. You are so cautious about maintaining your comfort zone that you miss taking steps forward to deal with crucial responsibilities. You can remain where you are… But are you evolving? You may be confronted to situations you were carefully trying to avoid in relations and profession also. Were you trying to avoid a project, to talk in public, a conjugal crisis? Before anticipating negative scenarios about what has become inevitable, stop and dive into faith. Never forget you have it, and because you have it, nothing is impossible. Either you doubt and make it difficult, or you trust and open up to miracles.

Stand up!

You show your confidence through example, and your example makes a difference. Whatever you learn spiritually is giving you strength today to stand up even in your commercial activities and business negotiations. It is a time to get along with everyone and start fresh contacts with people who will help you on this level. Take some free time with your family, extended family, and others. They will be a very valuable support to the growth that happens inside and outside. You can succeed with finding balance between your activities, your relationships, your spiritual practices and your inner connection with the Master, which is the ground on which you are standing today.

Intensity is what you need

Intensity is what you need: in spiritual understanding, in what you call external world, as a lifestyle! Intensity in the inner world is spiritual intensity, a longing to grow and to transform. Intensity in the outer world is what you need to change situations that have been bothering you for a long time. Now, you cannot bare these situations anymore, and this awakens a strong urge to improve yourself. This brings you the strength to go to any extent to shift your problems. When you are intense, you have freedom to create your destiny. You can actually even change your body with your intensity. Understand that whatever bondage you have comes from the past decisions that created it. You can break free of it!

Move with devotion

Devotion towards the master is the ultimate happening in life; it paves the way to your enlightenment. When your prayer becomes gratitude, you attract more benevolence to you. Gratitude is the ultimate prayer that can bring us more than we can imagine. Real prayer is not reading prayer books, it is not offering material things to god, it is not donating money to temples; it is deep and silent gratitude to the whole of Existence for being what it is. It is the undaunted trust that Existence is taking care. Prayer is a celebration of the benevolence of Existence. When our prayer is this way, Existence responds. When Existence responds, it comes to you as more benevolence in your life. This is the virtuous cycle of prayer and blessing.

Guru (Jupiter god) as represented in Tiruvannamalai Ashram (Bharat). Around Jupiter stand the other 8 Navagraha deities (deities associated with the nine planets), along with their Navagraha trees (trees associated with the nine planets), to bless all with abundance. The circle of deities is placed around the main deities of the temple, Sri Anandeshwara and Anandeshwari; located near a powerful energy field of 1008 ¹iva lingas radiating ¹iva's cosmic energy in an extremely auspicious atmosphere.
