About the topic:

Pain is a part of the body that wants to communicate to us. Pain is the emergency call from our body. It is the alarm clock waking us to take notice. It's actually the body that is screaming for our attention! When you have pain in the body, it's like that part is asking for attention as well. It wants to be healed and needs more focus and energy. The more you become authentic to yourself, the less pain you feel. The degree to which you love yourself determines how much pain you feel. Pain is the body's request to love itself more. We all have different tolerance levels of pain. Physical pain is more tangible, so we can measure it and know how to heal it. Emotional pain is more of an internal and abstract pain; therefore it is difficult to find a solution to heal it. When the body is asking for your attention give it 100% of your attention! The body is like our vehicle to be able to experience life. It must be honored and protected. What does it mean to be authentic? It means to be true to who you are, be true to your own feelings and live your own truth. When you are authentic, you have nothing to hide; therefore you have nothing to fear. Pain is a state of mind. The more you are in the present moment, the more awareness you have. We invite pain upon ourselves with our immoderate habits and stressful lifestyles and then complain when disease happens.

Assessment:

  • What does it mean to be authentic?
  • Who can tell me what the emergency call of the body is?
  • What activities have we done for pain?
  • How did you feel after doing the activities?
  • Why is the body asking for attention?
  • Does pain have negative existence?

Evaluation:

Ask them what they learned from this lesson? Did it help you? What are you going to do now with the information we learned?

Conclusion:

We invite pain by the bad choices we make in life.
