VI. OBSTACLES TO SEEKING
When you are resonating with Existence, you will not seek greedily. Simply Existence will give you what you need at that moment, even before you seek it. This is what I meant when I say: Whatever you seek, you will find.
OBSTACLES TO SEEKING
Whether you are an initial level seeker or an advanced level seeker there are some obstacles that you will face on the path of seeking.
For an initial level seeker, the biggest problem is boredom, due to which you don't break whenever you hit the block, you just develop a 'don't care attitude' towards your ignorance.
As an advanced seeker, you try to behave without taking the responsibility of Enlightenment, all the powers of Enlightenment. I have so many people who are waiting to grab the powers of Enlightenment without taking the responsibility of Enlightenment, and without having the experience of Enlightenment.
Understand, Enlightenment is not expertise, it is experience. People start thinking, if they learn how I behave, how I live, and expertise my behaviour, they can become enlightened or they can show themselves as enlightened. Enlightenment comes as an experience, not out of being an expertise. It is not from expertise, it is from experience.
The second level of obstacles as an advanced seeker are more dangerous. You start behaving almost like you are enlightened, but with incomplete knowledge, and without the experience.
The definition of an Enlightened Being is that His level of seeking will be totally different from your level, but He will continue to be seeking, because seeking is the only way He will be alive, that's the only way He even makes you u nderstand that He is alive, that's the only qualification of His Existence.
You can prove that you are alive by so many things: eating a sweet, having physical pleasures, etc. Through all of this you can prove that you are alive to yourself and to others.
But an Enlightened Being is alive only in His seeking, that is the only way He reminds Himself that He is alive, and He proves that He is alive to others. To that level, His very core will be seeking!
KEEP THE SEEKING ALIVE
Once you connect with the experience of spiritual seeking, you will never be bored. Boredom will not exist as a concept. Seeking means foveae exploring new horizons.
The most difficult work on planet earth for a spiritual teacher is to keep the seeking alive in people. God assumes a human body specifically for this task of keeping the thirst for discovery alive in human beings.
The Divine has five functions on the human sphere: creation, maintenance, destruction, and putting people into maya (illusion), and liberating them.
The first four, the Divine does not need to make any effort. He as Lord Narayana, the Hindu deity who dreams the world into being, can just lie down in a lying posture and be in the state of yoga nidra (yogic sleep), and yet there four things will happen.
He as Lord Shiva, the Rejuvenatory, can be in a Samadhi at Mount Kailash or he can be in yoga nidra in Vaikuntha; no problem, yet there four things will happen.

But to keep the seeking alive in human beings, the Divine has to assume a human body. This is the most difficult work on the planet. God has to go through an entire birth and lifetime just to maintain inspiration in people. That in itself is a full occupation, without even expanding His effort to giving enlightenment.
