Be able, stable and available
February 11, 2012
A sadhu is a man who has actualized all his potential energies, and is established in peace and joy.
If he is carrying the pattern of peace and joy, but has not actualized all his potential energies, he cannot be called a sadhu. Just carrying an attitude of peace and joy cannot make you a sadhu! No. If you don't actualize yourself, you cannot claim that you are a realized soul.
Be very clear: one who is incapable and weak is not a sadhu. Don't call your weakness as 'peace-loving', as you try to make that your qualification to be a sadhu. No! The man who has realized his possibilities, powers and has chosen to be centered in peace, is a sadhu. Even though a sadhu knows that he has the power to do anything, and anything he does is within his boundary, he is not going to do anything.
The sadhu is peace-loving because he enjoys the space of peace inside him, and he loves to create that same space inside others. Sadhu means not getting tortured and not torturing others. Actually, when you stop torturing yourself with your patterns, you will naturally stop torturing others also. When you are suffocated by yourself, you start suffocating others, torturing others. Any decision he (the sadhu) makes will liberate you from your suffocation and take you towards peace.
Understand, a sadhu is a person who is able, available and stable. If you are a sadhu, you are protected eternally. Even if the whole world stands against you, you continue to be a sadhu and radiate the state of a sadhu.
