Your emotions are just body fluids!
04 May, 2012
Every emotion is associated with one strong body fluid. I tell you, if you know how to make decisions independent of your body fluids, you will live a solid life, you will live a powerful, fulfilling life.
When body fluids leave the body, the associated emotions leave the system.
Fear and suffering are associated with tears and mucus. The mucus and the tears are directly connected to fear,
shock and suffering. Your male or female hormones, and the semen, are directly connected to lust and guilt. Self-torturing concepts are directly connected to sweat. When those body fluids leave you, when you consciously go through those experiences, the emotions associated with those experiences will leave your system.
All emotions are connected to some little fluid in your body, that's all. Understand this one thing and you will be liberated from emotions. If you understand this one truth, you will come out of all problems. All your problems, sufferings, emotional clots, are nothing but little bit of liquid in your body. So many things that you do, and repent later on, are just because of that little bit of liquid in your body. When you remove just that little bit of liquid from your body, your whole strategy, concept of life, ideas and decisions, will be different.
Even this understanding can liberate you. For example, you need to know that attention-need is not a male hormone secretion, it is a female hormone secretion. For male hormone it is lust, for female hormone it is attention-need. That is why males want to get into the lust and finish it quickly, because it is like a prison. The female wants to relax into it, because it is like an air-conditioned room. That is why there is big difference between the male and female wants. Even an understanding of this can solve some of the big problems in your married life.
I tell you, liberate yourself from the liquid-based mentality. This is what is called pratyahaara. Understand, pratyahaara means, not being compelled to make any decision under the influence of body fluids. This word is such a complicated word that it was never interpreted clearly by any yoga sampradaaya, by any tradition.
A few days earlier, a young brahmachari (monk) came and told me that he wanted to leave the ashram. I asked him why. He said that he had some issues with the administration department. I only told him,
'Do the Manipuraka shuddhi kriya to the level where water comes from your mouth. Till that happens, just shout and scream. After that, relax.'
Fortunately, he took my guidance and practiced the kriya intensely. After a few days, he came back and said, 'Oh God, Swamiji, now I am able to see everything with clear eyes. I almost made an impulsive decision and missed having you in my life!'
When you clear the body fluids, you make stable decisions.
The man who makes stable decisions and is not influenced by body fluids, or the mental patterns created by body fluids, is called a yogi. The capacity to live like this is pratyahaara.
