Meditation Is for You

Mantra mandala

ABOUT THE TECHNIQUE

This is a powerful technique for cleansing and energizing living and working spaces.

The vibrations created by the collective chanting of the mantra are a hundred times more intense than individual chanting. If it is an indoor space (e.g. a room or home shrine) that is to be energized, the participants can sit in a circle against the walls of the room, and direct the energy to the center.

INSTRUCTIONS

Duration: 21 minutes

Sit in a circle with your eyes closed.

Take a few deep breaths.

Now begin chanting the pranava mantra 'Om' together.

Chant in a resonant tone, as loudly as possible, as deeply as possible, as lengthily as possible.

As you chant, let the vibrations resonate through the space.

Have the intention that the mantra should cleanse the space and fill it with positive vibrations.

At the end of 21 minutes, close the meditation with the chant Om, shanti, shanti, shantihi (Om, peace, peace, peace.)

Before opening your eyes, spend a few moments offering your gratitude to the cosmic energy.

Nithya Spiritual healing, become a channel of cosmic consciousness

Spiritual healing is one of the most beautiful and joyful ways to experience ourselves as part of the cosmic consciousness.

The enlightened master Swami Vivekananda says beautifully that all our spiritual efforts should have two purposes: liberation of the self, and the well-being of the world (aatmano mokshaartham jagat hitaaya cha). Spiritual healing is a wonderful way to achieve both.

Spiritual healing has two aspects:

One, connecting directly to the cosmic energy;

Two, becoming a channel to pass on this energy to one who is in need of it. Healing is nothing but a way of expressing our compassion, our care towards somebody to help restore his physical, mental and emotional health to him.

What is real health?

We normally think of health as just physical health or medical fitness. No! Good health is much more than just absence of disease.

It is a state of ease and wellness in our entire system. Good health includes a fit body, mental and emotional vitality and spiritual well-being. When all three are present, that is good health.

Whether you believe it or not, accept it or not, you are an embodiment of bliss! You are not just the body. You are created to live as a blissful being all the time. Only when you are constantly bubbling with bliss, can you be called really healthy!
