ABOUT THE TECHNIQUE
Our interactions with others are largely unconscious. We always react to other people, we never respond to them. When you react, you are acting out of your ego. When you respond, you are acting out of your being.
We usually judge people based on what they are showing us. We rarely realize what their real needs are.
The truth is, we don't even know ourselves properly!
When we are unconscious about our own true nature, our motives, our needs, how can we be sensitive to the needs of others?
When we look deeply into ourselves and contact our own unconscious needs, we can understand others' needs better.
We can listen to what they are actually telling us, even if they are themselves not aware of it. We begin to see others from the inside, as we see ourselves.
This technique can be practiced only if you already have a basic understanding about the chakras (energy zones of the body) and how they influence our behaviour.
Instructions
Whenever you are in a situation of conflict with someone else, don't try to analyze their words. Instead, try to understand which chakra they are operating from.
This will give you a far more clear idea of their actual problem, and you can address that.
For instance, if your wife comes to you with a problem, what do you usually do?
Naturally, you try to solve the problem for her.
Understand, it is most likely that she doesn't need a solution. She probably already knows the solution. All she wants is your attention!
She is operating from attention-need (anahata chakra), while you are operating out of ego (ajna chakra), trying to solve her problem for her! No wonder your solution never works for her!
When you continuously work with this technique, you will find that you can gauge a person's emotional state accurately just by reading their body language. By exchanging just a few words, you get a clear idea of which of their chakras is the strongest, which is the weakest, and which chakra they are operating from at the moment.
You can also make out which of your chakras is likely to create a conflict between you and them!
Once you become more sensitive to these subtle exchanges and unconscious motives, both in yourself and in others, you get out of the normal response-patterns and learn to connect to others as they really are. You become more genuine, flowing and compassionate in your relationships.
