Renal and Urinary Health
Introduction
The urinary system is made up of the kidneys, ureter, bladder and the urethra. Together they serve to regulate the blood composition, to cleanse the blood and to excrete wastes. Diseases in the urinary system can cause all kinds of problems for your body, since the body is relying on the urinary system for providing it with clean and balanced blood.
The kidneys play a key role in the urinary system. The two forms of kidney disease are chronic kidney disease and end-stage renal disease. Chronic Kidney Disease means that the function of the kidneys is inhibited for a certain period of time, while end-stage renal disease is the point in which the kidneys function is inhibited to a point where substitution, or dialysis, is needed.
Chronic kidney disease is a growing problem in the US, especially for the elderly. The 1988–1994 and 2003–2006 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) studies show is a growth in prevalence of chronic kidney disease in people ages 60 from 18.8 to 24.5 percent. On the website of the (US) National Kidney and Urologic Diseases Information Clearinghouse, it is stated that 'between 1980 and 2009, the prevalent rate for ESRD increased nearly 600 percent, from 290 to 1,738 cases per million.'
This booklet contains techniques to aid you in coping with, or the recovery of urinary tract conditions. In many of his discourses THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAWAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM teaches that mental suffering such as fear and depression, are rooted deeply into our biomemory and cause health problems and diseases by lowering the immune system. The process of completion* with past pain patterns is essential to overcoming the root causes for these diseases. When worry becomes a habit it can affect any part of the body, causing a number of psychosomatic diseases. This subtle interplay between the body and mind is why it is so important that worry be addressed and removed from the system.
If an emotion is handled properly the corresponding chakra (energy hub in the body) functions well, expanding it to the size of even a cartwheel! If the emotion is not handled properly the corresponding chakra shrinks to the size of even a coat button, which causes low energy in the system. This low energy ultimately manifests as disease in the mind-body system. Several factors including childhood problems, societal conditioning, improper habits, physical and emotional injuries, or even just lack of attention affect the energy flow through the chakras.
