Cosmic Energy of Arunachala Shiva in the West
Called Los Angeles Aadheenam, this Hindu temple is home to the largest Shiva Linga in the Western hemisphere standing at 8 feet in height.
The temple carries the energy and power of Arunachaleshwara Temple of Tiruvannamalai, South Bharat. Arunachaleshwar is one of the Pancha Bhuta Shiva Linga (five elemental energies), known as Agni Linga, the fire element Cosmic Form of Lord Shiva.
Also called the Chidambaram of the West, Nithyanandeshwara Hindu Temple, Seattle, USA was inaugurated on 24th February 2008 by THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAWAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM. The sacred ceremonies are followed as per Chidambaram, Bharat temple's Vedic calendar and tradition. Chidambaram represents the element of akasha (ether), which is one of the Pancha Bhuta Sthala (five elementary spaces), where Lord Shiva resides in the formless form as Nataraj, the Cosmic Dancer.
The 12-foot Sri Ananda Nataraj is the largest living deity of Natraj outside Bharat.
"Since the skies are always celebrating, let this temple radiate akasha (ether) energy..."
