Guilt due to thinking life is meant to be a suffering

We are taught by society that being happy, ecstatic and enjoying life is not our natural state. Just look at yourself: when you feel really happy about something, you start fearing how long this will last. A guilt starts arising inside you that life is not meant to be enjoyed and here you are enjoying it. Instead, when you feel sad and depressed, do you ever feel guilt? No! You feel this is how life is meant to be - a suffering and you start feeling pity for yourself.

When you are enjoying doing something - say dancing or relaxing at the beach, just around the corner of happiness what do you find? Guilt rising inside you about all the work that you have, the responsibilities you have to get back to.
