Causes of Stress

  • 1. The potential causes of stress are numerous and highly individual.
  • What you consider stressful depends on many factors, including your personality, general outlook on life, problem-solving abilities, and social support system. Something that's stressful to you may not faze someone else, or they may even enjoy it. For example, your morning commute may make you anxious and tense because you worry that traffic will make you late. Others, however, may find the trip relaxing because they allow more than enough time and enjoy listening to music while they drive.
  • 2. Excess Worry results in stress.
  • 3. Worry is negative inner chatter.
  • 4. What is this negative inner chatter about meeting deadlines, planning, re-planning, impressing, need for attention, discontentment, fear, etc.
  • 5. Negativity about anything is the root of worry.
  • Example if you suffer from a business failure due to some reasons, how will you react? You will feel sad that you met with failure, that is ok. But you will not stop at that. You will feel frustrated and angry and you will allow all sorts of things to enter into your head. "Oh, this is my bad period!" , "Everything I touch is sure to be a failure!" "I am good for nothing!" , "Why am I always so unlucky?" , "What am I going to do? .. And so on..
